Bengals vs. Steelers Predictions/Game Thread

Don't remember being this pumped about a Bengals game in awhile. Should be a good game but I think the Bengals can squeek out a win against the defending Super Bowl Champs. Carson Palmer will however have to play a near perfect game as I think Ced will be slowed down some this week.

Time to see where this team truly is.

Prediction 20-17 Bengals WIN!

Re: Bengals vs. Steelers Predictions

I'm having a hard time saying this, but I think the Bengals could win if they get some breaks. Obviously, the Steelers defense is not the same right now without Polamalu, but give that club a few weeks to adjust and they'll make some changes to compensate. The Bengals might be lucky enough to get to them before they've had a chance to fully regroup.

Bengals D comes up big. Steelers will score only 10.

I also foresee a 15 yd unnecessary roughness penalty against Rivers, and I can't wait.

Only if they realize....quickly...that if they cannot run the ball, they need to pass...pass...pass. Short passes...medium range. Pick up the blitzes and you can pass on the Steelers. Get some big plays from special teams.
Get Huber to channel Ray Guy and coffin corner the Steelers into bad field position.

Re: Bengals vs. Steelers Predictions

I don't want to predict anything for fear of angering the football gods (I like the Bengals chances though) but I'm SOOO excited that I'll actually be at the game on Sunday afternoon! It's my first ever NFL game and I cannot wait to scream myself hoarse for the Bengals. Who Dey!!!!

Good game to make your 1st Heather. I'd avoid the drunks though if that's possible. That'll be a wild scene.

Bengals will be up three TD with :53 second to play and lose it in OT on a 67 yard FG thanks to a gale force wind at Jeff Reed's back.

That would be typical Bengals...and typical Steelers...

A lot of them will be Steelers fans from out of town, so they'll be ugly long before the tailgating starts.

I felt good about the Bengals chance until I found out everyone else was picking them to win.

Now I'm bracing for a huge crash.
