Egyptian Room

Anyone been there? I'm going in November. 18th row is available. I was wondering about how good the seats are there.

Re: Egyptian Room

I'm not sure if I know what you're referring to.

Are you referring to The Murat Egyptian Ballroom in Indianapolis, IN?

I saw Queens of The Stone Age there about 2 years ago and it was a great show and the acoustics were nice, but it's basically a standing-room concert venue. So I think you may be referring to something else?

Re: Egyptian Room

I saw Oasis there and it was a standing only in the Egyptian room. I say Sam Kinison, Sheryl Crowe and Goodnight Sigoin at the Theatre and its a great place to see anything.

I'm pretty sure you're not talking about the lesbian bar up the street from my house.

Re: Egyptian Room

I wonder why it's seated for that show? Every show I've ever seen there has been SRO.

Robert Earl Keen is about as fun as a concert experience gets. I've seen him at the Norva (GREAT venue) here in Norfolk twice, the first time he had Shooter Jennings open for him. That show was an absolute blast.

Re: Egyptian Room

I saw a New Years Eve John Mellencamp concert there around 99'. It's a nice play to see a show with great accoustics.

The cool thing was Paul O'Neill was at the concert also. There was a intermission during the show, and as he walked around the crowd from what I saw no one had a clue who he was.
