I'm going out on a limb and predict Billy Hamilton adds at least 40 points to his BA and 60 points to his OBP.
Interesting prediction. I believe I read that Hamilton did in fact try switch hitting this year, so his offensive game is definitely a work in progress. One of the most interesting players in the system -- true high ceiling, low floor.

I haven't decided on the Reds players yet but I vote that Giants top prospect Angel Villalona is most likely to have to breakout. Drum roll.

I'm trying to limit myself to players people haven't mentioned in this thread. My hitter is Junior Arias. My pitcher is Brad Boxberger.

Re: Who are your "breakout" players for 2010?

Pitcher-Tyler Cline
Hitter- Dave Sappelt

Both had good years this year, but I feel they will really break out next year.

I had Miguel Rojas, then remembered he would most likely be going to Sarasota. Thats not a place to continue showing your bat is legit.

I figured you would--the first two players I thought of were Fleury and Serrano.

Sarasota will not be our High-A affilliate anymore, will it? If we get out of the FSL, our hitting prospects will get a big boost at that level.

If its in Lynchburg thats a pretty good hitters park. Ive been there quite a few times to see the hillcats play and its not that big of a park just a high wall

I agree. I think Duran will take a step forward in 2010.

Re: Who are your "breakout" players for 2010?

I'm thinking Feldhauer & Boxberger and comeback years by Soto & Lotzkar. Infante is another possible breakout.
