Re: The Tiger Woods Saga Thread
The only thing that I can say with certainty after all this is that, somewhere in New York City, there's a writer hard at work to have a Tiger Woods Press Conference skit ready for the next episode of SNL.

Re: The Tiger Woods Saga Thread
I didn't watch but read the transcript. There were 2 main problems 1) didn't explain what happened that night a few months ago 2) didn't take questions. IMO, it was just another attempt to control information to keep it from going places he doesn't want it to go. However, instead of answering the question of what happened he tried to bury it all over again and it won't go away until he gives some plausible explanation.
He wants the story to go away but without an answer the speculation and interest will just continue. I think his handlers did him a huge disservice by not having go before the press and deal with the issues right after it happened. They tried to control this like the do everything else but it certainly hasn't worked in his favor this time.

Re: The Tiger Woods Saga Thread
I still don't get why he "needs" to answer questions about what happened the night of his wreck. I fail to see any relevance to it. He wasn't drunk, no one else was involved, and he's not under any suspicion of wrong-doing. So why does he need to let the public know the details behind it?
I've read some criticisms by some pundits suggesting that he needs to answer questions. I might be missing something, but I'm curious as to which questions he needs to answer publicly? What is it that we don't know already that "needs" to be known? I'm a little confused on this.

And people say "what happened that night" like someone was killed or something, like it's some great mystery that needs to be solved. Dude wrecked his car just outside his driveway and no one else was involved. Why is it so important that we understand "what happened that night"?

Here's the quote. It's very, very honest and self-condemning. Quote:

Re: The Tiger Woods Saga Thread
I just saw a shot of the conference on the news. It already looks like an SNL skit.

Re: The Tiger Woods Saga Thread
He doesn't have to answer that question but if he doesn't it won't go away. He can make it go away by weaving a believable tale, it doesn't even have to be the truth.

What I want to know is why Nike doesn't make apology gear? I listened to it live, but I just watched the video and I didn't see a swoosh any where.

Re: The Tiger Woods Saga Thread
Also I think that it's clear that he's going to go back to his old ways. He pretty much gave it away near the end.
