Re: 3-16-10 Reds vs. D-Backs
Has anybody here actually seen Valiquette pitch? What kind of stuff does he have?

Re: 3-16-10 Reds vs. D-Backs
ctrent: A sac fly with bases load and then a 2-run double. #Reds lead 8-5. That's it for Valiquette
ctrent: Ondrusek in for the #Reds Okay, maybe that answers the "what kind of stuff does Valiquette have" question. *sigh*

You mean Brosnan? I'm not familiar with a Bronson. But then I'm no expert...so who knows.

Re: 3-16-10 Reds vs. D-Backs
I saw him pitch, but it was right after Chapman pitched, so it was hard to gauge. He looked like a softball pitcher after Chapman, but he did pitch a scoreless inning.

Re: 3-16-10 Reds vs. D-Backs
Janish bringin' out the BIG LUMBA! 2 run shot makes it 10-5ctrent: Paul Janish with his second homer of the spring. #Reds lead 10-5 FSOhioHalMcCoy: Paul Janish? Home run? Again? Yes, again. Janish hit a 2-run homer in the sixth to give the Reds a 10-5 lead. Paul is doing his Dickerson impersonation. Pissed off that his spot's been "taken". OPS THIS! :O)

Re: 3-16-10 Reds vs. D-Backs
I thought Hal had been around long enough to know better than that. No one is saying Stubbs shouldn't have to earn the job. But only on rare occasions should anyone earn the job based on spring training stats.

Re: 3-16-10 Reds vs. D-Backs
Augenstein pitching for the D-backs
Nix, Alonso, Sutton due up Tons of defensive switches for the D-backs too...but I really don't care...do you? Nix doubles to center Alonso grounds out but Nix advances Sutton grounds out to 2nd Mesoraco PH's for Frazier and gets plunked Hanigan K's to end the mini-threat

Re: 3-16-10 Reds vs. D-Backs
Ah, I'd read some stuff from him but had never seen his pic. Okay, that's 3 Reds pitchers who wore glasses (Hume, Valiquette and Brosnan). Anybody else?

Re: 3-16-10 Reds vs. D-Backs
Speaking of Brosnan, just finished his book The Long Season. Fun, leisurely account of the 59 season, half spent with the Reds.
Did you know... he was a top 20 vote getter in MVP balloting for his contribution to the '61 pennant-winning team? Anywho.... thanks to those keeping us updated.
