Lucas O'Rear
With their 13th round pick, the Reds selected RHP Lucas O'Rear out of the University of Northern Iowa.
He was a two sport athlete at UNI (baseball and Basketball) until UNI cut their baseball program following the 2009 season. He decided to put off his baseball career and play basketball for at least one more year, knowing that UNI had potential to be very good at basketball. It worked out for them, and UNI made a sweet sixteen appearance by knocking off Kansas. He is a 6'7 240 pound righthander who played HS ball in Illinois.
