Anybody work in the Auto-Glass industry? (Need a new one)

I now have a badly cracked windshield after a 4th of July accident. I didn't crash...so no worries on that front! However, while tossing baseballs with some cousins, someone accidentally hit my windshield. I was curious to know if anyone on here works in the auto glass industry in hopes of saving myself some money. I've had a windshield replaced in the past after some hail damage, and if I remember right it set me back a few hundred bucks.

I suppose it is a long shot trying to find some help on here, but I guess it also doesn't hurt to try!

Thanks for reading!

Your comp coverage would apply here if you have it.

If not, call around to glass shops, tell them you'll need a cash price or price without insurance.

They'll give you a better rate since you are paying out of pocket.

It's going to be at least $200, no more than $400- at least that what it is in Florida.

Check with you insurance provider. Many replace windshields with zero deductible.
