Good Camping sites around Cincy?
Thinking about making a trip over in August (about a 6.5 hr drive). We were hoping to bringing the camper and stay 5-7 days, probably catch the Cardinal's series. Are there any good full hook-up campgrounds that also offer on site activities like swimming in the area?

It's about an hour away from Cincinnati, but Caesar's Creek if ideal.

Looks like Winton Woods might be a possibility, any one every been there? I like the ability to reserve your spot on-line as well as see a picture of it ahead of time.

Been there the one and only time I went camping. Slept on a root of a tree. Never camping again.

Re: Good Camping sites around Cincy?
My wife's family lives near Winton Woods. Not a bad place right in the middle of the city. The lake is pretty nice with a nice jogging track around it. There's a couple nice restaurants just down the road in the Glendale neighborhood, and a pretty nice golf course attached to the park, called "the Mill Course".
You could also camp out by Kings Island and do the amusement park thing on days you aren't doing baseball. |

I don't think 1 year olds and amusement parks mix to well. I for one would love to go, haven't been ti KI since I was 14 or so and that was a lot of years ago. Maybe in a few years.
