Nice of those guys to return your cards! I think it says a lot about a player when they choose to respond to fans. Very classy.

Bump.

What is the Reds address that I could send a Votto SI cover to to hope to get signed? Anyone?

Thanks.

Re: The autographs by mail project

I had success a couple years ago with a few players. My most memorable card was Josh Hamilton, as he returned it almost a year later. Sparky Anderson returned my card very quickly, within about a week.

Re: The autographs by mail project

Years ago I had success doing this with Jerry Rice. There was someone else (A baseball player, I think) that snubbed me. It wasn't a Red though.

Re: The autographs by mail project

Last week in the mail I had an envelope post-marked from Texas. I opened it to find this:

Its difficult to tell in the photos. Are they signing the hard plastic casing, or the card? Like I said, hard to tell in the photos if the autograph is just displaying clear through the hard plastic cover or if they are actually signing the casing. Just curious.

The card. I just didn't take the cards out of the plastic case before I scanned them.
