Casey's been to the playoffs. In '06 with the Tigers and in '08 with the Red Sox.

Re: Reds' magic number

Did Deion ever play in the playoffs with the Reds?

Re: Reds' magic number

Casey was in a one-game playoff while with the Reds. We can bend the rules to include the Mayor, IMO.

Re: Reds' magic number

Nope. That was the regular season, no bending of rules.

And my memories of 1999 are different than a lot of you. I have trouble getting beyond the cruel end to that season and mising the playoffs. Granted, it was nirvana compared to the entire '00 decade, but, still. The final weekend in Milwaukee and the one-gamer against Leiter really hurt.

Re: Reds' magic number

Sorry about posting CDick. Didn't know about the whole "guys who have been in play-offs" thing. Not that it's big deal but yeah.

Re: Reds' magic number

Helms is now in the hole.

Frank Robinson/Cesar Geronimo/Danny Jackson/Jeff Branson are now on deck.
