Re: NFL Cuts

Dexter Jackson was cut yesterday. He was a 2nd Round pick just two years ago.

Good call, he visited Cincinnati yesterday.

Matt Leinart's been cut in Arizona.

Wonder if Pat White is regretting not signing that baseball contract right now.

The Bengals are supposed to be 1 of 5 teams that are interested in him.

Re: NFL Cuts

Sea Ray, time to put the boat away.

Labor Day Weekend's closing and the NFL season begins.

Haven't had a September like this since 1990 when both the REDS and the Bengals made the playoffs.

Enjoy the next five months.

Yep, I thought about getting it out today but it's just too cold up here (in Michigan). I'm heading back to Ohio tomorrow. I think I'm done boating 'till next yr.

It's a great time to be a Cincinnati sports fan indeed. I'm looking forward to this Fall. I'm more worried about the Bengals and winning games with this tough schedule than the Reds who actually look worthy of winning the Central

Re: NFL Cuts

Didn't the Bungals draft a guy in the late 80s or early 90s that was cut and was a 2nd or 3rd rounder? Childress or something like that? I think I'll look that up, I'm not a Bengals fan, but I think I remember hearing that on WLW back in the day. Something about him being too fat.

Re: NFL Cuts

Yep, Freddie Childress, second round pick in 89. Got cut. Played two years in the league later on and then became an all-pro in Canada.

Pretty good memory for a non-Bengal fan, huh? Had the era, round, and last name right.

I'll take 2-2 for the first four games.
