I hope one of our QB's establishes them self as the starter tomorrow. We need more consistency especially without any running game to speak of.
Best of luck today, kitties. Looking forward to a fun game (and a Herd win).

Heck of a game, Bobcats. Ballsy call by your coach going for two with no time left. I'm thrilled we've restarted the series.

Re: 2010 Ohio U Football

I'm happy that Marshall and Ohio U. are playing each other and I wonder if Marshall should have left the MAC for C-USA.
That said, I wasn't very happy with how MU played. Right now, Marshall looks as if Ohio may be about the only win they get this season.

I live din Athens for 7 years and don't think they won more than 10 games total during that time.

I'd like to point out that it has been

1799 days

since the Miami Redhawks have won a football game against the Ohio Bobcats.

Carry on.

As a Marshall fan I have to give a big pat on the back. Despite the attempt to brew a rivalry between OU and Marshall, we always hated Miami more than anyone else when were in the MAC. And some of us haven't dropped that sentiment. Go Bobcats, great win!

Edit: i love redhawkfish's reaction below. And I feel his pain...but not too much.

I don't understand the rivalry at all, to be honest. I fail to see how two MAC teams could hate each other...

You always need to hate someone somewhat equal to you. I went to Tulane -- we hated LSU, but they were quite indifferent towards us. Not a great way for a rivalry to get going.

Do you have to go to a big school to have a rival?

That's what I was thinking. People who go to smaller schools should be just as passionate as those who go to larger ones. Of course, a lot of MAC alums cheer for their local Big Ten school rather than the one they actual attended. See Exhibit A: Brennaman, Thom.

Tons of Miami students were and still are that way, but they will cheer like crazy for Miami against those same schools in hockey.

Re: 2010 Ohio U Football

To be fair, I'm an Ohio State fan who will go to several Ohio State games and will be emotionally invested in each game. If Ohio State loses, it ruins my Saturday. If Miami wins/losses, I shrug and continue along.

But I don't pretend to be some huge Miami hockey fan either. That's just the way it is. I was raised an Ohio State football fan and I hate Michigan with a passion. OU, they're just another Ohio MAC school to me (1 of 6). I have no reason to hate OU...

Maybe it's because I don't view OU as an equal either...
