Re: Name your top 5 baseball venues..

Old Tiger
Fenway
Old Yankee
Those are the only ones I can think of that I have been to that I like enough to rank. I go to Balt every year, but dont like that stadium so wont rank it. Hated the 70/80's circle stadiums, so cant rank any of those.

From just where I have been

1. GABP
2. Nationals Park
3. Camden Yards
4. Turner Field
5. Tropicana Field

Old Yankees Stadium - Didn't make my list, don't know how to explain it. A shrine in one sense, but crowded concourse and the areas around the stadium weren't too good.

Re: Name your top 5 baseball venues..

I've been to:
Fenway
PNC Park
Comerica
Riverfront
GABP
US Cellular
Wrigley
Miller Park
Metrodome
Coors Field
Chase Field
AT&T
Angels Stadium
PETCO Park

My top Five are:
AT&T
PNC
Wrigley
Miller
GABP

AT&T is just an unbelievable setting to watch a game. Just was at PNC for the last weekend of the season, and even with an awful team still a wonderful place to watch baseball. Wrigley is the closest place I have to watch the Reds and I go there a handful of times a year and I always have a great time.

Least favorite park - PETCO. You feel completely isolated from the rest the playing area when you are up walking around. In my opinion they missed the boat on this one.

Speaking of Kids-Back in the 80s I got to see the "Kid" Griffey Junior play at Ricketts Ballpark in Farmington New Mexico during the Connie Mack World Series for the Midland Redskins from Cincinnati. That was pretty cool.

Re: Name your top 5 baseball venues..

Ok, if we are going outside the league I have to pull out old DUrham Bulls Park as my all time favorite. It is the stadium I have been to the most; have played there, watched hundereds of games-including my first ever game, been to concerts, been arrested for sliding across the tarp during rain delay (Joe Morgan was there and sent me an autographed book afterwards), I was an extra in Bull Durham, camped there as a kid....I could go on and on. When I think baseball stadium, 100's of thoughts come to my mind over that place, I can bring myself there with just a thought-the smells, sights, sounds come right to me. That place IS basbeall to me!

I wish I had a better memory of Crosley Field, but I was only six years old when it closed. I can remember my dad pointing out star players for me, whether for the Reds or opposing players like Hank Aaron and Willie Mays. But I can't remember anything about the actual stadium, other than some signs, the light towers, etc.
