Re: Bengals v Colts Predictions and Game Thread
It would be fun to see Palmer with an offensive line that can block and WRs that run the right routes. I know he'd still throw some picks, but he's not Jake Delhomme.

Why is it never Carson's fault? He is mediocre at best and everyone always makes excuses for him.

Re: Bengals v Colts Predictions and Game Thread
Guy manned up and played hurt today, made two bad decisions and it's all his fault? Sorry, I'm not buying that. There are literally three guys on the Bengals offensive line who shouldn't be in the NFL, let alone starting. They had to have extra help for the line all day today. Then you have receivers who constantly freelance.
I think it's very possible Carson is an average or below average QB now, but it's ignorant to blame much of this season on him.

Re: Bengals v Colts Predictions and Game Thread
It's like Palmer has 2-3 "yips" per game. He's pretty good to really good outside of 2-3 throws per game. The problem is, these errors lose games. I'm truly amazed at how bad is bad throws are. They're off the planet bad.

Re: Bengals v Colts Predictions and Game Thread
Get rid of the offense then? Then after that what? I think this offense is like the Chargers offense of the late 70's-early 80's....all routes must be run with precision beacuse the ball will be there IF they run the right route.....but since neither TO and especially Chad.....have a Charlie Joiner like discipline when it comes to doing that, you get this.

Most of the places I read, like here, it seems like he gets more than his share of criticism. But that's subjective I know.

I don't care if he got two shots and manned up to play today. Football is about production not being manly. Carson Palmer handed the Colts 10 points. It was looking a lot more like 14 but the D stepped up big time today. The guy continues to give away picks and throw costly int's. Here is the thing with the two WR's. TO is a HOF and Chad is a boarder line HOF. Both have been productive this season and far from the reasons why the Bengals are losing. There comes a time when we need to stop blaming these two guys and look more at the problem, the guy throwing the football. |

Re: Bengals v Colts Predictions and Game Thread
The thing is, as a fan you have to admit that you have no idea who is to blame for an INT. It could be the receiver running the wrong route, it could be the QB throwing the ball to the wrong place, it could be the line not giving the QB enough time to go through progressions. The Bengals have plenty of issues with all three.
