Re: Choo Likely Exempt From Military Service
I don't think it would make any sense for the Indians to deal Shin-Soo Choo at this point in time. Although they were an absolute disaster this year, they may only be a year or two away from being a great team if things go reasonably well.

Reds fans everywhere rejoice upon hearing the news for reasons that are not immediately apparent.

I question whether even Leake or Volquez would be enough. It would certainly cost us quite a bit to pry Choo loose.

Good to hear, I'm a fan of the guy.

A very awesome guy also. I have a step mother who is Korean, so I know a little Korean, and was able to talk to the guy for a few minuets before the Sunday Game at GABP this year. A really funny, caring guy who gave the whole family autographs. glad to see him not have to worry about military service.

Re: Choo Likely Exempt From Military Service
Hang on to Heisey and you still have he (or maybe Frazier) and Gomes to go against tough lefties. Bring back Nix (or maybe Edmonds or even Dorn) and you can slide Sizemore over to CF for really tough righties. I like the thought of sending a core lineup of Votto, Bruce, Sizemore, Edmonds up against guys like Halladay, Wainwiright, Carpenter, etc.
