I would think he just wants to retire there. I think we got (see Jay Bruce and Drew Stubbs after he signed with us) what we needed from him.

I would hope he contacted our front office,as a courtesy, although Jocketty seemed to want him in an instructional role. Who cares?...

But they did pay 8 million for a guy who hasn't played in the outfield in five years, so..

I would have liked him here for a LH bat off the bench, tutor for Bruce, fill-in at 1B and OF occasionally. I guess some of us figured if he played again, it would be here. Bummer, especially since he went to the Cards.

We really don't have a place for him or need him. But it just seems like the Cardinals are trying to rub us.

He went from Red Killer to Still a Red Killer (time with the Reds) to being a Cardinal Killer now. Glad they got him. Loved that attempted slide back into second where he came up like 5 feet short the night of the brawl.

This is a mixed bag for me. I hated Edmonds as a Red, but when he puts on a Cards uni, he always manages to do something against us...even as ancient and worthless as he is...

He seems like he would be better suited for the American League at this point.
