redsfanmia, do you think Carimi will stick at left tackle? He hasn't tested well, and is widely viewed as a right tackle. Would that change your opinion of him?

Re: Official 2011 Redszone NFL Mock Draft thread ...

With the 23rd pick the New Orleans Saints are thrilled to select Cameron Heyward, DT, Ohio State.

The Saints are very happy to add a talent like Heyward to go along with the newly signed DT Shaun Rogers. We now feel that we have a very deep and talented DL that will allow Greg Williams the freedom to run even more complex blitz schemes. W. Smith, Brown, Ellis, Rogers, Heyward, and Wilkerson are ready to cause problems for NFL offenses.

Re: Official 2011 Redszone NFL Mock Draft thread ...

Seattle needs O-line help, but the prospect of making a popular hometown pick is just too tempting to pass up. So with the 25th pick, the Seahawks select:

QB Jake Locker, Washington

Ideally, Locker will have a year or two to learn behind Hasselbeck before taking over as the starter. Also, in the real world, this would enable the club to trade Charlie Whitehurst to one of the many QB-starved teams for an additional early-round pick.

Not at all, I am sure he is an upgrade over Charlie Johnson at the tackle position.

Re: Official 2011 Redszone NFL Mock Draft thread ...

OK hopefully no one views this as too presumptuous. Did a mini-study of Ravens....

With the 26th pick in the 2011 draft the Baltimore Ravens select CB Aaron Williams, Texas Longhorns.

Re: Official 2011 Redszone NFL Mock Draft thread ...

With the 28th pick in the draft, the New England Patriots turn to the offensive line and select Mike Pouncey (OG-Florida).

With Logan Mankins likely to exit after next season and even more uncertainty on the offensive line, Pouncey would be a good fit at guard and is the best O-line prospect left at this point.

The last Badger offensive lineman drafted in the first round was Joe Thomas a few years ago and hes hit 4 staight pro bowls. Wisconsin turns out good linemen.

Great value with this pick. If trading down was allowed in this thread I would have dry humped Jake in this draft so late in round 1.
