I think Cozart is the most disappointing thus far but Perez is the most surprising imo.

Cozart surprises me. Everyone else is pretty meh as a prospect or extremely young for level.

A friend of mine took his son to see the Mudcats the other night. Not having all the details...before my friend and his son left the park Perez gave my friend's son two bats. Even told him to follow him back to the clubhouse and wait until he got them for him. My friend says he's even up to some decent broken English. As I understand, he spoke about zero English a year ago.
Perez has started to make more consistent contact and I think he'll figure it out soon. I haven't seen anything to get excited about defensively. |
