Evil Empire More Evil Than Imagined

Yankees Stealing Tips From Servers

Quote:
Three current and former waiters who served fans in premium seats at Yankee Stadium have filed a lawsuit against their employer over the withholding of tips automatically charged on food and drink orders.
I don't know which is worse, forcing fans to pay a 20% gratuity fee, or that the Yankees keep it themselves.

I have never agreed with building in a gratuity fee but really disagree with the employer keeping the gratuity...especially from the blankity blanking Yankees.

When its so much of the pay of that line of work I agree with it because too many people are the wrong end of a horse and wouldnt tip anything if you left it up to them. My only issue with it (and putting tips on credit cards) is Uncle Sam knows how much to tax someone for. That is why anytime I go out to eat I take cash to leave as a tip.

And yes I already knew the Yanks were pure evil. They even make Scrooge from the start of the Christmas Carol say lighten up.

I wonder if these servers got cash tips already and are trying to double dip. Perhaps the Yankees found this out and that's why they are keeping the automatic gratuity.

I doubt it, people at ball games are likely the worst types of tippers.

I read a review of all the stadiums from a season in the 60's, it stressed that the Yankee Stadium workers expected to be tipped. (and the Dodgers frowned on it in LA)

In those seats? They probably get a $20 just for showing the people to their seat and wiping it off for them.

One more reason to hate these guys.

When I see gratituty included, I think I don't have to tip the server, as they're being taken care of. This is blatently dishonest.

It's every right thinking American's civic duty to despise these wankers.

Then, I am a right thinking American doing my civic duty well.
