I also heard Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture on the radio today. I almost forgot how epic that piece of music was.

then there's that rascal gershwin's "rhapsody in blue", plus my all time fav. mr. beethoven's "ode to joy"...#1 on the charts..


i first heard gillian welch and the haunting "leaving train" on "the horse whisperer" soundtrack.

Beethoven's 9th Symphony is probably my favorite piece of music so I'm there with you on Beethoven.

Beirut's "The Rip Tide" is due out 8/30, officially but I must say this album is amazing and it is helping me through some rough times and I am just in love with it.
