Re: 9-10-11 Reds at Rockies

Rockies 1st:

Fowler Ks swinging.
Ellis HRs to left.
CarGo doubles to right, Bruce almost got him at 2B.
Tulo, on a hit and run, singles to left, CarGo scores.
Giambi hits a 2 run HR to dead center.
Smith pops out to Votto, with a little deep sky excitement.
Pacheco singles to center.
Ianetta flies out to Bruce.

After 1 inning, Rockies 4, Reds 1.

Arroyo at 33 pitches, 21 strikes. Burton was already up in the pen.

Arroyo has now given up 39 HRs this year, one shy of the Reds all time record: 40 by Eric Milton in 2005.

Re: 9-10-11 Reds at Rockies

I've been a big Arroyo supporter and still think he can bounce back in 2012 with Mono behind him and a relatively light workload in 2011. An off-season rest is very needed.

It was a really bad idea to extend him though.

Please let this be the last start for Arroyo. Tell him to get better and figure out another way to fool these hitters for next year.
