Well Jim Bowden is full of hot air. Mlbtraderumors now says, per Bell's twitter account, that nothing is going on and it was misinformation.

Why would you want the Reds to shell out that type of coin for a closer when a starter would seem to be a more pressing need?

Bell is apparently between the Marlins and Blue Jays. I don't need the Reds to spend big on relievers.
But they had better add some good bullpen arms, even of the cheaper variety. The remnants of last year's bullpen - with no Coco - are simply not enough for this team to compete. |
