Re: Dayton Flyer Basketball
BTW, is CJ really a potential 1st rounder?
http://cdn05.duonox.com/nba_mock_drafts/consensus I only pay attention to Draft Express' mocks, but I was surprised to find his name here at #30. It can't be too accurate, since they have Patric Young all the way down at #37. Last edited by Ohayou; 12-08-2011 at 05:15 PM. |

Re: Dayton Flyer Basketball
Hey-O! Held off the surprisingly resilient Spartans of University of South Carolina Upstate this afternoon.
The Flyers didn't play particularly poorly on the offensive end, they just allowed USCU to hang around all afternoon. Torrey Craig is a heckuva nice player, especially for a smaller school. He's skilled and gritty, akin to what I always wish I was seeing out of C.J. The last two games (Bama and today) go to show you just how schizophrenic this team can be. At this point, I don't know if I can be surprised by any outcome this team is apart of. |

At least that loss at Murray State doesn't look as bad now.

Dayton ranks #57 (one spot ahead of Cincy) on Jay Bilas' Top 68:

Chris Wright plays for the Golden State Warriors now? I did not know that.

Re: Dayton Flyer Basketball
He made their roster but I don't think he's actually dressed for a game yet. The two games I saw he was in street clothes sitting behind the bench. With Curry injured though, his chance may finally come.

The Flyers could really use a big win going into conference play. The first three games in conference play are going to be tough. |

Re: Dayton Flyer Basketball
Josh Benson suffered a torn ACL in the game vs. Ole Miss on Friday night; he's out for the year.
This is a huge blow to an already-thin Flyers team. Good luck in your recovery Josh! |

Re: Dayton Flyer Basketball
Was just checking out some college hoops stuff, and noticed that Dayton is up to 35 in the RPI, and the A-10 is quite strong this year. Could they be a 3 or 4 bid conference this year? I don't follow the conference as much as some of you guys on here, I'm a Big Ten guy.

Conference play begins tonight with the 12-2 Billikens. Hopefully CJ has a monster night. I'll be there rooting for him.

Re: Dayton Flyer Basketball
Big win tonight for the Flyers in their first game without Josh Benson, against a solid St. Louis team no less. Big night from KD and solid nights from nearly everyone who stepped onto the floor.
They did shoot 50% from downtown and dominated (40-27) a really poor rebounding Billiken team on the glass. Excelsior, Archie!

Re: Dayton Flyer Basketball
I love UD Arena. Simply one of the best atmospheres in all of college basketball.
Dillard played well, but was reckless at times. He made some truly awful passes. Johnson did next to nothing. |

Re: Dayton Flyer Basketball
I saw your man Archie at this game last night: http://www.middletownjournal.com/mid...s-1307380.html
Presumably, checking out the Morgan kid from Springboro. I guess they'll need a replacement for Kavanaugh. ![]() But the kid to watch is the frosh at Franklin. He's going to be special.
