Amir Garrett on ESPN right now (noon-2pm Saturday)
St. John's is playing at Duke in basketball right now and the Red Storm have Amir Garrett who was drafted by the Reds last year. Stole him in the 22nd round because no one thought he would sign. Reds signed him. ESPN just did a 30-second piece about Garrett's skills as a pitcher. Vitale was like "He's a good college basketball player, but I think his future's in baseball." They showed clips of him pitching (Garrett, not Dukie V, I'll be here all week) and he looks like David Price on the mound.
Just a heads-up for my Reds brethren (and sisthren) out there. |

BTW, for those who don't know, Garrett is left-handed and is listed at 6-foot-6, 190 pounds.
He's a starter for St. John's at small forward and averages 5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. |
