Re: Riggleman named Wahoo's first manager
Yeah, you're suppose to post the entire article. (That's what I was told at least when I did my spring training series.

Links to your own site are allowed in your signature, I believe. You're also welcome to post entire articles so long as its your own stuff. As for linking articles from other sites, there's supposed to be a two-sentence limit if I understand everything correctly.

Re: Riggleman named Wahoo's first manager
Thanks guys for the clarification. I think we're fortunate to have someone in Pensacola already contributing. Look forward to reading his posts.

Re: Riggleman named Wahoo's first manager
That is crazy! Man did he make a boneheaded decision to walk away from the Nationals last year. He let his ego overtake his brain. That said, for a Double-A manager, it doesn't get much better than this. Nice moooove, from the Wahoos.

Re: Riggleman named Wahoo's first manager
Pensacola is really shaping up to be a nice minor league affiliate. Experienced former major-league manager, impressive crop arriving from Dayton soon, new state-of-the-art stadium. Louisville and Dayton are already top-flight affiliates, and hopefully this will join them.
Now if only we can get Bakersfield off the ground...

Its baffling that they haven't names a PC and HC for the Wahoo's.

Re: Riggleman named Wahoo's first manager
Usually new coaches get their start in coaching at the rookie levels. I would be VERY surprised if a brand new coach winds up at the AA level.

Re: Riggleman named Wahoo's first manager
I bet Corky Miller's 1st coaching job is AA. Maybe High A
I also expect to see him managing in the big leagues within 10 years.

Re: Riggleman named Wahoo's first manager
Plently of guys have gone straight to the majors as managers, Matheny and Girardi are some recent example, A.J. Hinch is a good example as well, since he was not a big name player. People have been talking about how Corky Miller will be a great manager for years, I see no reason he could not jump to AA or AAA at least with his first job. I always assumed he would be the guy to follow Rick Sweet, but I would not be surprised at all if he became hitting coach in AA, with the brand new team and former major league manager to learn from.
