When the debate has come up on Xavier message boards UC has seemed to be the number one rival.

Dayton fans are cute with all their nostalgia from back before most of us were born when they didn't suck.

Perhaps if they hired (I mean recruited) thugs they might be better. But let's take a look at this year...

* Dayton crushes X at Dayton.
* X beats Dayton at X, but needs OT to do it.

Based on the above comments, X must SUCK more than Dayton.

I'm relatively certain I have a post in this thread comparing Xavier this year to a train wreck. So Xavier is not particularly good this year, no.

Then again, Dayton is in their old familiar spot in the conference standings looking up at X. Probably should have taken care of URI at home. Oops.

I think any unbiased observer would look at this year's UD situation and consider where they are as exceeding expectations. I certainly wasn't expecting the kind of season they've put together with the cards that Archie was dealt.

And the Flyers are only one game back "looking up at X," with 3 very winnable games left. We'll see how the season plays out.

Now that is the Kenny Frease I want to see. He pulled down his clutch rebound of Tu's miss right in front of me; I've never seen Kenny move that fast. Hopefully he gets hot to close out his career.

I tried to keep the destruction to one room of my house last night.

I don't think I've ever been more frustrated as a sports fan as I am now. To come up that short to your arch nemesis twice in one season.

I think the play of Frease was the difference between the first two contests. He was on a mission last night.

I think Archie is going to be a good coach, but he is going through some growing pains. His lack of utilizing timeouts and not having the team prepared after timeouts was atrocious in the second half. Having the shot clock run down after two timeouts is simply inexcusable. Letting Tu have his way for the first 5 minutes after halftime without calling a timeout is inexcusable. You have some growing up to do Archie.

Gotta give kudos to xavier, they know how to win in these types of games. Something that UD still struggles with. Having said that, go St. Louis!!
