Corydon. I confess that I cheated and looked it up, but the thread was sinking.

Before every major league baseball game, the umpiring crew rubs down each game ball with mud obtained from a tributary of which river in which state?

I believe it's the Delaware River in New Jersey. But I'll wait to ask a question til I find out if that's correct.

As the story goes, Blackburne later was fishing on a Delaware River tributary in New Jersey when he scooped up some mud from the creek. He tried it out on a shiny new ball -- an experiment that would alter the course of our National Pastime.

Beautiful.

What was the property at Augusta National used for before it became a golf course?

I believe it was a nursery.

What was Alice's last name on the Brady Bunch?

Given Pete's betting track record, whoever he bet against.

Was that one a tie with no winner?

Well done!!

The game was played in September, it ended in a tie because of darkness (Wrigley had no lights) and it was never replayed.

That was one of those memories hiding dormant in my mind for twenty-something years.

On the Pete Rose theme, which relief pitcher got him out on his last at-bat to end his hitting streak at 44 games?

Rose disappointed me by complaining that the guy pitched him like it was the 7th game of the World Series. Good grief! This was coming from a guy who sprinted to first on a walk.

Re: Random Trivia

Ford was a carpenter. He was building bookshelves, IMO correctly.
