Louisville gives up three in the 2nd inning and are now down 3-1.

In Pensacola Didi Gregorius had a sac fly that plated Cody Puckett. They are up 3-1.

Tony Cingrani's first start at Bakersfield:

6 IP 1 H 0 ER 1 BB 5 K's

You'd have to think he would be one of select that would be fast tracked if he maintains success like he had last year...

Great to hear. If he keeps this up, hopefully Cingrani can team with Corcino and Sulbaran to form a "Big Three" in Pensacola in the second half.

That is fantastic. What a steal he was in the third round last year. Love that he's a lefty too.

Nick Christiani had a rough, 4-run eighth inning in Louisville's 7-4 loss. Danny Dorn homered for the Bats.

Re: Sunday April 8, 2012 Minor League updates

Puckett had a pair of doubles, one of which cleared the bases in Pensacola's 7-5 victory.

Interesting that Carolina suffered the last couple years with problematic bullpens, but Pensacola's, with the likes of Donnie Joseph, Justin Freeman, Drew Hayes and Chris Manno, appears to be stellar.

Travis Mattair hit a 3-run HR in support of Cingrani, and Bakersfield won, 5-2. Chris Berset was 2-2.

Today probably isn't the best day to talk about that bullpen. Hayes and Manno combined to allow 3 inherited runners score and Hayes allowed one of his own runners to score.
