Re: Reds vs. Nationals Saturday 4/14

Batters just look confused. Like a Single-A club. Swinging at everything. Might be the most undisciplined hitting I have ever seen. Is this just a slump? Or Dusty's "aggressive" philosopy on hitting truly screwing them up. I think a lilttle of both but we are seeing serious regression over the past year plus. The 3 teams we have played have worked the counts amazingly well. The Reds? Not even a little bit except the first game of the year. Truly disgusting display and the coaches and team should be ashamed.

But it's early so who knows.

Quote from Dusty:
“It’s not lack of offense,” he said. “It’s lack of sleep. When you have a lack of offense is kind of like everybody lacks of offense. If somebody was hot and swinging real good you wouldn’t have the lack of offense.”

I'm not making this up.

It is an issue of softer pillows in the hotel.

OK Rally time.

"I managed a team that was so bad we considered a 2-0 count on the batter a rally." - Rich Donnelly, minor league manager

Yup that's what they'll keep telling themselves until we're quickly 10 games under .500, the year is shot, and then they'll start deciding to make moves. What's it going to take? Willie Harris to start hitting below .020 to send this bum off to the Mexican Leagues where he belongs?

That is a Baseball HOF quote.

Lack of sleep? This offense puts me to sleep every game.

I'm about done with ex-Reds being made coaches throughout the organization. Lets get bonafide coaching up here, not home town heroes.
