EVEN if Stubbs is correctly called safe at third, even though Dusty is unpredictable, chances are he's still got Cueto bunting, as he is awful with the stick, even for a pitcher. So, if Cueto gets down a decent bunt, we're still probably looking at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. There was no legitimate benefit to taking that risk and it cost us at least one run. I hope this makes more sense to you now.
