It just occurred to me who he reminds me of. Chris Valaika.

With Phillips signed until 2017 and young guns like Cozart, Gregorious, HRod, Blazin' Billy, Greene, Wright, Lohman, Perez, Arias, etc. already here or in the MI pipeline, the Reds should have a surplus to work with in deals.

I will have to admit their Billings' slash lines look very similar. That being said, I hope for more than a Valiaka-like (AAAA IMO) career from Wright. I don't know if it is likely to happen, but I don't see Valaika ever making an impact for the Reds.

Honestly, I didn't even look at their numbers. They just have a similar swing and approach to their swing.

Re: Prospect Ryan Wright impressing at Dayton

His BB:K ratio is very promising. 10:9 at Dayton while it was 9:32 in Billings. No reason to be concerned at the 0 HR number. He had a home run robbed from him (by the umpire not a player) that hit a seat and bounced back in play and has hit two balls off the wall.

Once fans get to know him, he'll become a favorite. Plays the game the way it's supposed to be played

When the weather warms up in the MWL, the home runs will start showing up for quite a few guys. April is generally a rough month in the league for the hitters.

I was watching the game last night and the Wisconsin announcer was talking about how the fans were there with blankets and coats.
