Hasn't Mes been catching Latos? I'd like to see Mes get the ABs, but I guess Latos could probably use a change of pace.

Dusty is pretty consistent the way he does his platoon's at Catcher. He rarely has a Catcher catch 3 games in a row on the season if both are healthy. He has them play two in a row. Hanigan caught the last game. Mesoraco caught the two games before that. Mesoraco probably catches the next two games against the Giants.

I like that hanigan is in there with latos, just to see if it helps. Cain has been on a roll too...runs might be hard to come by.

You learn something new every day. It might be important and it might be trivial. Today was a day for trivia. Mat Latos hates the Giants. He used to sign baseballs - Mat Latos I hate the Giants.
 How well has Latos been able to channel that anger? In nine career starts he has a 2.64 ERA against them to go along with a 1.00 WHIP and a .578 OPSA. In 58 IP he has struck out 45 and walked just 10. Of course, he did face them in two of the better pitcher's parks in the league.

I do see the resemblance. Matt Cain is on the right. In another bit of useless trivia, the lefty pitcher at the end of that movie was actually a righthanded pitcher. He said it was difficult to throw left-handed. No wonder Robert Redford was able to take him DEEEEPPP!! Trivia time: After Roy Hobbs broke Wonderboy he used the ballboy's homemade bat. What was the name of that bat?
