I don't mind giving bench guys occasional starts but I could do without them hitting at the top of the order.

Stubbs should have run during the Valdez at bat. What's the point of Stubbs/Valdez at the top of the order if Stubbs doesn't go.

Not a good batting order tonight. Valdez shouldn't hit second. Bruce shouldn't hit fifth against Zito.

Hector Sanchez singles against Arroyo to begin the second. Another grounder up the middle.
