edit - double post

also I'd like to mention that I didn't include any trades... as it's a bit hectic to think about all of the possibilities

Big day for Tannehill as he gets two pay days, one from Miami and one from Cleveland.

Oops.

Cleveland is being awfully quiet for a team that has a pressing need at quarterback.

I think they're a bigger player for Tannehill than anyone wants to admit, they just don't want their interest to be known with Minnesota actively shopping the #3 pick and QB-needy Miami possibly moving up.

I think at 22 he is a possibility for them. If he gets past Seattle then I think the Bengals #21 pick becomes a spot for dealing down. I just cannot see Miami missing out again on a guy although needs developing is talented enough to be drafted that high if developed properly. Then again he has hands like Kurt Warner (smaller than ideal) and that with any other major issues could make for a bust.

Re: Your own 2012 NFL Mock Drafts

I'm starting to think the Jets are very serious about backing up the truck for Richardson. I see why the Jets feel the need to have such a player. Moving up to #3 is a massive jump though.

Also starting to think my mock is already in trouble because Barron is starting to gain traction in the top 11-12, I doubt any team currently sitting there will take him but someone (Philly) might very well deal up for him now. That with the fact that I was hesitant about the Bengals giving up picks in the 1st place makes me think they will stay put @#17. This draft eve chaos is bigger than any I have ever seen.

Re: Your own 2012 NFL Mock Drafts

I know I said final but my gut keeps telling me we aren't gonna do what I'd like and trade up for Barron because of a number of reasons the biggest of which is the Bengals love of not paying safeties and guards top dollar. I do think if Kuechly or Cox somehow managed to get to #12 or #13 they might make that move, I think they see the value in those 2. But if it is just Barron that falls there I do think Arizona will try very hard to get out of that spot and pick up another draft choice as they are short a 2nd round choice this season (Kolb deal) and I think someone will trade up to get him in front of the Cowboys, probably the Jets if they can't move up for Richardson, the Eagles might also be willing.

So with that said I'll throw my gut call out there.

#17 - Stephon Gilmore CB (good grief I hope he is at least left)
#21 - Cordy Glenn OL
2nd - Marvin Jones WR (without Jerome they now must go WR in the 1st 2 rounds)
3rd - Isiah Pead RB (Moving up to the top of the 3rd with a 5th)
4th - Brandon Hardin SS
5A - Malik Jackson DE
5B - Hebron Fangupo DT
6th - Marcus Dowtin LB

Re: Your own 2012 NFL Mock Drafts

Here's what I want to happen:

1A - David DeCastro OG
1B - Stephon Gilmore CB
2 - David Wilson RB
3 - Brian Quick WR
4 - Brandon Hardin SS (I'll take your word for it)
5A - Jaye Howard DT
5B - DeVier Posey WR
5C - Kourtnei Brown DE
6 - Scott Wedige C

Dre Kirkpatrick, Cordy Glenn, Mohamed Sanu, and LaMichel James are all names I wouldn't be surprised to hear in the early rounds.
