For those complaining about Samardzija keeping the Reds in check, please note that Jeff Suppan pitched 5 scoreless against the Brewers today. Jeff Suppan.

Rolen is hitting .178. It's not that early anymore.

Rolen is off the books at the end of the year right?

Defense only. So far. 84 pitches for Sam.

No amount of defense carries that bat, none.

Re: 5/2/2012 Reds vs Little Bears
Late innings only. Heck, Votto is down to .282. No one is hitting consistently.

Re: 5/2/2012 Reds vs Little Bears
I'm not great in navigating the stat sites, but I'll give it a shot.
Hanigan 861 career ab's 341 with men on base 40% of the time, men on base Votto 2301 career ab's 996 with men on base 43% of the time, men on base Bruce 1933 career ab's 874 with men on base 45% of the time, men on base Doesn't look like that much of a drop off to me and you'd almost HAVE to expect a smaller percentage to be on for the 8 hole hitter. With such a dramatic drop off in DP's hit into, I'd say it's a safe bet that he wouldn't hit into more in the 4 hole.
