Ryan Zimmerman is horrible. Amazing that he has this rep as some kind of great player.

Why did the genius Billy Beane get rid of a young, stud SP like Gio Gonzalez again?

He's probably been the best third baseman in the NL over the last few years. A .293/.368./.492 line since 2009 is pretty solid.

Re: 5/11/12 -- Nationals at Reds

I'm a Leake fan, but he's just leaving too many pitches hang over the plate.

There's nothing going on to fool the hitter, no sharp breaking pitches, no sharp downward movement. Certainly not a lot of velocity.

It's still early in the season, the young man has a long career ahead of him hopefully, but right now he looks so hittable.

As for Gio, I seem to recall that a lot of RedsZoners didn't want the Reds to go after him this off-season. He's done well, although he doesn't exactly have pinpoint control.

Double for Bruce.

He's not even close to as good as David Wright.

If Rolen can't hit this lefty, then he really needs to start thinking things over.

I'm calling Ludwick to have a good night.

Opposing pitches aren't even trying to fool him. Just gas......and he's not even close to catching up to it.

Ludwick works the count full before striking out.

Maybe Ludwick will have a good night defensively.

Well, he's having a good night thus far in terms of chasing balls out of the zone. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

No problem, I deserved it. Left field for the Reds, man . . . .
