Queen of Disco, Donna Summer has Died

Donna Summer who took advantage of the disco craze has passed away. Admit you really liked disco back in the day.

Well, I did have a weakness for McArthur Park.

She really was a versatile singer. Hot Stuff, The Wanderer, She Works Hard For The Money proved that she could Rock, as well.

Sorry to hear this.

I remember Karl DeSuze, a long time Boston DJ from WBZ, always refering to her as the Duchess of Dorchester. She was cool and beautiful although I was not into disco...I was into cool and beautiful.

Re: Queen of Disco, Donna Summer has Died

When the REDS played at Yankee Stadium last Friday, they played Donna's version of "God Bless America" during the 7th inning. It was very moving and one of the best versions I have ever heard of that song. I was not a fan of hers and did not know much about her, but man that recording of that song moved me last Friday.
