Funny how things go. If you say you should ask Bruce to bunt in a certain situation people would say you were crazy. Now it's a good idea.

It's always about context, though, isn't it? Sometimes it is crazy. When you're 1 for 27, it's a good idea.

True enough it is about context. But if the Reds trail by 2 or 3 late and they have the shift on why wouldn't a slugger bunt to get on? You need baserunners. Even if Bruce was hot. Take the bunt in that situation. But people wouldn't agree.

If nobody's on base? Sure. If runners are on base, I think you take your chances when Bruce is going well.
