Find a contender that's weak in the pen and see if we can trade a reliever for a left handed bat.

Yeah....should definitely be those two....they have really struggled. I just make Masset wait. Every pitcher we have right now is fine. Sending down Hoover would be ridiculous but he has options so he'll be the one.

Stubbs and Valdez had two of the worst offensive games.....you can't say what would've happened but Heisey/Hanigan 1 and 2 and replay those same situations.

No one knows but what Stubbs and Valdez did was just defeating offensively.

It wasn't going to make any difference against McDonald

How can that possibly be proven?

You have to give yourself the best chance to win every game, considering the playing of subs of course....batting Valdez second just can't be argued for that.

Why send anyone down. Do you think Masset is better than the guys we have now? I never recalled Masset being a proven "shut it down" pitcher on level with what we've seen so far from Arrendondo, Hoover, Simon (pleasant surprise) and even LeCure. I'm more worried when Ondrusek or Marshall come into the game.

Once they get to the Reds, our young guys don't improve at the plate. I'll leave it up to others to discuss the reasons why.
