I know it should have been, but you're blasting Joyce like he was the only 1 who missed the call....and that is all.

If you could've been in my living room I was blasting the FOX camera guys. Lol

When Mills came out to ask for replay Joyce looked pretty bent out of shape....you had to replay that. Joyce has some troubles the past couple of years. They all understandably miss some but he's missed more than his share. He's no C.B. though!

How is this team winning with Dusty as manager?

Outscoring the opponents on those nights.

Re: Reds @ Astros 6/2/12

Dusty is the manager, so he gets the credit for the losing AND the winning. Obviously I don't agree with everything he does, but the players seem to have a lot of faith in him and he obviously keeps a pretty good clubhouse, which I think is something that is underrated in terms of a team's success. He's got his team 8 games over .500, so all I can do at this point is tip my cap to him.

The Reds are a four-tool player. They can beat you with pitching, power, defense and speed. The only thing they are really missing is getting on base.

The guy that has managed in 18 seasons prior to this one yet has only managed to win a playoff game in 3 of those seasons.

From Hal McCoy's blog last time Reds faced Wandy:

Quote:
What kept Baker awake was what to do about right fielder Jay Bruce on Friday night against Houston left hander Wandy Rodriguez. Bruce was 1 for 26 with 13 strikeouts against Rodriguez.Play him or bench him?Baker decided to play Bruce, but he dropped him from fifth to seventh in the batting order.“Bruce ain’t struggled a little bit against Rodriguez, he has struggled a lot,” said Baker. “I wrestled with that. It gets to be a pride sort of thing. You don’t want anybody to keep having your number.“If I don’t play him he’ll keep having those bad numbers,” Baker added. “The only way to break that number is to play him and try to figure him out. Hopefully the law of averages are on Jay’s side. They’ve been on Jay’s side for a long time now but so far it hasn’t worked out.

Re: Reds @ Astros 6/2/12

I really don't care if Bruce never plays against Wandy. It's clear Wandy owns him. And we'll only face Wandy maybe three or four times in a year. Bruce didn't start last night and we scored 12 runs, 9 of which came off Wandy, and all three starting outfielders played a role in those 9 runs.

So you're trying to tell me scoring a lot of runs against a pitcher is important?

No thanks, not buying.
