I've been wondering how badly the bullpen was hit with that virus - they all looked sick last Sunday against the Tigers.

Dusty still hasn't learned Arroyo's days as a inning eater are over.

Doesn't matter how many pitches he has thrown in the last week, Arroyo no longer has the consistant stamina to grunt out those 100+ pitch games. After 90 pitches, his effectiveness falls off considerably.

3-0 is the pitch to hit, Todd!

Unless it's high and inside, of course!

Sorry, I read your post completely wrong. I read "Arredondo" since he was in the game at the time.

Regardless, did you really have an issue with him going out for the 7th when he had allowed one run through six and was at 90 pitches? Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I can't really complain about him going out there when we had to use several arms last night.

Re: Reds vs. Mets Friday 6/15

In reality, Dusty has not tried to push Arroyo much this year. He's only gone over 100 pitches 4 times in 13 starts. So maybe he realizes what you're saying.

Looks like we might see Big Willie Harris leading off the 9th. He was on deck. Predictions? He gets out twice?

My prediction is he records an out and the Sundeck takes the occasion to gloat in his failure.

Hate that weak crap - you're not hit by the pitch unless the ball actually hits your body!
