Reds vs. Indians Monday 6/18

Rolen in the lineup. Roster move yet to be announced although I'd assume it's Negron....

Cozart SS
Heisey CF
Votto 1B
Phillips 2B
Bruce RF
Ludwick LF
Rolen 3B
Frazier DH
Hanigan C

Latos P

Re: Reds vs. Indians Monday 6/18

Having a DH in this series is the perfect scenario for Rolen's return: Rolen's glove > Frazier's, Rolen's bat > Pitcher's, Frazier's bat still in lineup.

7 in a row...

Rolen batting 7th. That's an encouraging sign.

Lowe today right? I predict we knock him around for quite a few runs.

Something is wrong with my computer. Catcher is NOT hitting 8th. Dark clouds gather outside my window.

I do believe two spots above Hanigan = 6th in a NL park.

OBP:
Cozart -1st- .308
Heisey - 2nd - 311

Frazier - 8th - .343
Hanigan - 9th .- 365

Makes perfect sense. Keep the guys that get on base BEHIND Joey Votto. And make sure they get the fewest at-bats.

Lucky 7 tonight no matter what. Votto and Phillips are hitting well and Derek Lowe is going down! If Latos pitches like last time out this game is in the bag by the fifth inning.

As long as they keep winning, there is zero chance of Dusty changing anything...and really why would you?

Dusty Baker invented the high five. I'm serious, read it.

That, alone, should gain him entrance into the HOF. It changed the way America celebrated a good play.

To be fair, Cozart has a .415 OBP in the last 15 days. I'll be the first to tell you that I was not thrilled about him being moved to the lead-off spot. He really has looked like a very different, more comfortable guy there the last two weeks, though.

Don't know if he's turned a bit of a corner or is just on a hot streak, but I'm not sure I'd drop him in the lineup until we know for sure.

I value OBP a tremendous amount when I watch baseball and put together my fantasy lineups. All the same, I'm not sure I like Frazier and Hanigan at the top of our lineup. If anything, I'd stay let Todd hit cleanup a few times to see how he responds, but know that's a lot of pressure on a rookie. I have to admit, I like a little pop towards the bottom of the lineup with Frazier in there today.
