Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Yuck. He clearly didn't have it tonight. His velocity wasn't there, his location wasn't there, he wasn't focusing on the hitter. That was predictable right as soon as that AB began.

Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Really disappointing. Two winnable games lost in completely different fashion one night after the next. Try to get out of Cleveland with a win.

Did he even throw one slider?

You can't throw only fastballs when you don't have your good fastball.

Tough loss but this team is still in a good spot overall. Need to bounce back tomorrow and avoid the sweep.

Chapman needs to remember how to throw his slider for strikes.

So is that the fourth HR allowed by Chapman in his career? If so, 2 have been given up in the past 10 days.

I smelled this one when the first out was drilled to right. Yikes. Time to put Marshall back IMO.

I didn't even think that was a HR off the bat.

Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Lead down to 2.5 after going up four. This is going to be a dogfight all season.

Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
That's what will happen when the batter knows what pitch is coming each and every time. Doesn't matter how hard you throw, they'll catch up to it.
Someone needs to get him throwing his slider again. |

Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Jeff Brantley, why on earth do you continue to call opposing team HR's with such enthusiasm??? You work for us, not them. Argh. Tough loss.
