Juan Silva's June looks awfully good too.

The youth in Dayton might need another half-season to fully blossom. Thankfully, most of that group is young enough that the extra half-season might not matter.

Nolan Becker comes on in relief of Romano in the bottom of the third. Dan Pigott gets his first hit in the top of the fourth, but is quickly erased trying to steal. The Mustangs now trail Lake Elsenore 5-1.

I really hate to see Dayton hurting again.

Nowling Green makes it a nice even 20 with a run off Carlos Gonzalez in the bottom of the 8th. Going to the ninth, Dayton is down a TD and two FGs (20-7).

Re: Sunday 7/1/2012 Minor-League Updates

Dayton gets three back on a Junior Arias double, a Juan Perez single, a 2-run double off the bat of Josef Terry, a GO and an error, but fall by a final score of 20-10.

Re: Sunday 7/1/2012 Minor-League Updates

Tucker Barnhart singles to leadoff the top of the 3rd and proceeds to clog the bases for Slidin' Billy who follows with a single of his own. They both move up on a WP. Tucker somewhat atones for his greivous mistake by scoring on an INF single by Theo Bowe and Billy scores on a GO by Travis Mattair. The Blaze now lead 3-0 after three complete.

Re: Sunday 7/1/2012 Minor-League Updates

Dayton to performances:

Juan Perez - 3-5, 4 R, 3B, HR, 3 RBI
Josef Terry - 3-5, 3 R, 2B, 2 RBI
Ryan Wright - 3-5, 2 2B, 3 RBI
Juan Silva - 1-3, R, 2B, BB
Junior Arias - 1-4, 2 R, 2B, BB
Yorman Rodriguez - 1-2

Not sure if YRod was injured, but it shows Jefrey Sierra PH'ing for him in the 8th and the box sore says he "struck out for" Rodriguez.

Re: Sunday 7/1/2012 Minor-League Updates

Looks like the Bats game was called due to inclement weather before Louisville came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. IIRC, that would nullify the two Indy score in the top of the 8th, but Louisville still falls 6-3 in 7.

Negron, Soto and Perez doubled for the Bats, and Gathright had a single, Soto, Harris and Miller each scored runs and Gathright and Perez drove in runs - that is pretty much the sum total of the Bats offense on the evening.

The Pensacola game is final. The Wahoos fall 10-4.

Bryson Smith was 4-4 with 2B, Beau Mills was 1-5 with a HR and RBI and Gregorious was 1-5 with a 3B and 2 RBI.
