He wasn't even trying to hit a fly ball with that swing. And it's not a knock on him, the entire team sucks at situational hitting.

I'd have to imagine the Reds are the worst in baseball with runners at 3rd and less than 2 outs.

Other than Votto, the only guy that I feel good about getting a guy in from 3rd with 1 out is Phillips...and he hits into a lotta dps.

No, after those two really good pitcher pitches by Volquez to put him down 1-2 he looked to just put it in play. If Volquez could pitch like that to everyone he'd be onto something.

As is....Heisey has sucked one AB and knocked in the only RBI with the other.

A lot of little things these Reds don't do well.
