We are going to see that baseball team that plays there but only because my six year old wants to go to a different stadium other than GABP. I told him no rooting for the Cards or the other team they are playing the Dodgers. Just sit there quietly and observe.

George, another place you might want to try when you are on vacation here is Pappy's Smokehouse. Brandon Phillips gave it major props and was voted as one of the top places to eat in the country and is on many lists as one of the best BBQ joints in the country.

Re: Which MLB cities would you live in.....
This is a fantastic thread, love it.
My top 3 choices would be: 1. Arlington (Warm weather. Great ownership. Great fanbase. Big market, but not tons of pressure to win as in New York or Boston. Count me in. 2. New York (Nothing like being regarded as a clutch player in this city. Clearly tons of pressure. But I think that pressure's worth it if you come through. Would be a great challenge, tons of money, and a lot of fun.) 3. Cincinnati (I'm serious here. Great baseball city. Competitive team. Obviously a great ownership group that takes care of its players. A young team with some legit stars and with some more on the horizon in the minor leagues.) Top 3 I'd least like to live in: 1. Boston (Ownership is throwing everyone under the bus on their way out the door. Crabby and spoiled fanbase. No thanks.) 2. Miami (Apathetic fanbase. Crazy manager. Quite honestly, a terrible owner. Nothing about this team is appealing to me, and the city is overrated if you ask me.) 3. Oakland (Bad ballpark. Fans that don't show up. Team stuck in legal limbo on whether they can move. Never know if you're on the trading block or not. No thanks.) Granted, I'm taking into account the team situations in these rankings. I have nothing against any of the cities in the bottom 3. (Except for Miami. No offense to any Miami lovers, but I'm truly underwhelmed with that city). |

We plan on going up in The Arch ( my daughter will love it), Grants Farm ( daughter loves animals), the Zoo ( it is free and my daughter loves animals), Six Flags ( daughter loves rides) and a Cards game (son loves baseball and nothing else, wonder where he got that from?). What about City Museum? It gets good reviews but is it an all day thing? Is Union Station run down now? I have fond memories of the place back in the late 90's but I heard it's pretty much ghetto now.

Re: Which MLB cities would you live in.....
Growing up, I thought La Rosa's was the best thing since sliced bread. But after moving to NY, it's definitely nothing special. I had it the last time I was in Cincinnati though and it was decent. At least for the Midwest.
