Crabbe pitched last night. I believe Cingrani is pitching tonight.

Sorry. That's what the MiLB scoreboard had.

Villareal just gave up a HR with one out in the top of the 5th. Prior to that, he had allowed a singled, 2 BB's and struclout 4 in four innings. Now 1-0 Mudhens, through 4.5. A Joey Gathright single has been the only hit for the Bats through the first four.

Villareal is an unspectacularly solid pitcher. Good reserve man for the end of the rotation if something happens.

Dayton and Great Lakes are under way. Jacob Johnson allowed a single in the top of the 1st, but that was it. Dragons coming to bat, no score.

Janish singles but is cut down trying to steal 2nd. The Bats trail 1-0 after five.

Dayton comes out slugging in the bottom of the first. Juan Perez leads off with his 5ht HR followed bt a single by Jefrey Sierra. Then, one out later, YRod and Ryan Wright with back-to-back jacks (the 3rd for each). 4-1 Dragons after one.

A bunch of Bats with convincing bids to earn a leadoff spot with the big club. 2 hits and two walks through six.

Yorman tripled on a ball that was not well played by Winker (Jesse's brother)? Halfway to cycle.

Johnson serves up a Great Lakes HR in the top of the 3rd. Dayton still leads 4-1

Re: Saturday 07/07/2012 Minor-League Updates

Juan Perez has hit safely in 9 of his last 10, with three dingers and an 850+ OPS over that same period.

In his last 10 games at Dayton, Yorman Rodriguez has hit .385 with an OPS of 1.000+. Perhaps he'll catch fire in the second half. Let's hope so.

YRod en fuego! Triples in the 3rd but doesn't score. Still 4-1 after three. HR & 3B in two at bats.
