Re: Reds vs. Padres Saturday 7/7

Great googly moogly.

That's the kind of thing that tends to throw Homer's focus off, too.

Heisey doesn't have much of an arm.

and the dinker drops in & Heisey's throw isn't close -- and no one else was throwing him out either

I never realized how poor Heisey's arm was until tonight. Geez. He was 40 feet behind shortstop on that one and still couldn't throw a strike home.

Jay Bruce might be the most overrated defensive outfielder in the bigs

Took a perfect throw for a shot....runner broke on contact. CarGo might be the only LF to throw him out on that.

He wasn't going to get him but I think I could have thrown a better one than that & I've had 4 surgeries on my throwing arm in the last 10 years!

Not sure about that. He was charging and pretty close to SS, so it should have at least reached the catcher.

Exactly. I'm not saying he should have thrown the guy out, just that the throw was remarkably weak for a major leaguer.

Here we go again, game should be 3-1 or 3-2 at the worst, but this team makes stupid plays.
