Agreed. With the roster we have, that is what it should be.

I'm proud of this team winning that game. Was especially needed with the news that Cueto will not pitch tomorrow.

Votto needs men on base in front of him. Can't keep putting him in these situations.

He's only got 12 more RBI than Rafael F. Furcal. That's a damn shame.

That's the gap widening between St. Louis and Cincinnati in the NL Central.

Based on what ATL let them do last year, it better get more like the Great Wall of China.

Why do folks insist on penciling in Ludwick in the 4 hole. His BA wRISP is only .190 and slugging percentage a paltry .365.

OTOH Frazier is batting .302 wRISP with a robust .651 SLG.

I just don't get it.

They obviously don't know how he hits with men on base. He should be down in the lineup where his failure to hit with men on base doesn't hurt the club and his extra-base prowess without men on base (though he does well with just a man on first) can serve a better purpose. With a sure out in a pitcher behind him, it's nice to have a guy in the 8th slot who can get to 2nd on his own or drive a guy in from first, or just hit a solo homerun.

4th or 5th is not a position Ludwick should bat in.
