I grew up watching Drysdale, Gibson etc.....if you dug in, you'd find yourself on your butt in short order.

He's pretty gritty....not sure it wouldn't be counter-productive on him.

I dont want to get guys suspended. A little bench clearing is fine, just dont get yourself suspended.

Homer doesn't have that kind of disposition. I don't think we have a mean pitcher on our entire staff. Maybe Latos.

Probably right, but you gotta draw a line in the sand when a guy's zoned in and teeing off on you like this cat.

I know what Bob Gibson would do.

Another excellent outing for a Reds starter, and once again nothing to show for it. Surely we lead all of baseball in no-decisions.

Anything that doesn't result in extra bases is a win for us when it comes to that guy.

This sport is headed for hell in a hand basket if it's suspension-worthy for a pitcher to back a hitter off the plate with something high and tight.

Homer may not be done, yet. And even if he is, we have a bat right here to put him back up.

We've allowed a very average pitcher to stymie us with a very average performance.

Well, he's less average than Homer, and they have a better lineup than us and they have two runs. So both teams could say the same thing.

Don't know why somebody didn't unload one into Drysdale's chops.

Instead of nailing one of his teammates.

Baseball's rules for retaliation have always been so assinine.
